Azure Learning path for .NET developers

 This information is suitable for 3 to 17 years experience in IT industry and atleast some coding knowledge in C#.

Lot of people get confused what to start in Azure. Because, learning azure itself cannot be sufficient for .NET Architects. Example: if we are learning AZ104(Azure Administrator) where we are going to use?. Nothing practically useful. You must learn all dependent technologies as well. Also, you should not focus on certification only. Here is the complete path for .NET developers/Architects.

More suitable for Windows environment.

1) Learn AZ900 (Azure Fundamentals) -- Approximately 12 hours -- No practicals required

2) Learn AZ104( Azure Administrator) -- Get Free access from Azure. Spend 80 to 120 hours for depth learning. Do all the basic exercises such as User creation, AD, VM Creation etc...

3) Learn Docker and Docker Hub -- Learn Docker and Docker hub tools. Spend around 20 hours. Learn Docker commands through command line tools as well.

4) Learn Microservices --> This is very important for Architects. Create a sample project with 

.NET core + Microservices + Docker. Spend around 20 to 40 hours

5) Learn Kubernetes --> Learn atleast 50% knowledge on Kubernetes. Download and install all the tools. Spend around 40 hours

6) Learn Powershell basics --> This is very important for all this group of technologies. Spend around 4 to 8 hours.

7) Learn AZ303 (Azure Architect Technology) -- Learn depth knowledge. Implement all the concepts and do a mini project with Cosmos DB, Serverless, Azure Service bus, Azure Fabric service, AD, Multitenant application creation etc... Spend around 160 to 200 hours

8) Learn AZ304 (Technology Implementation)- Learn all the concepts properly. Spend around 40 hours

9) Learn AZ400 (Azure DevOps) - Learn CI/CD pipeline which you studied already. Implement and practice Kanban board, Azure Repo etc..

10) DP200 -- Azure Data Science + Bigdata is very important to design any project. Spend around 120 to 150 hours to learn properly. Azure Data Lake, Data Bricks etc...

11) Learn Azure Security

12) Learn GIT and Github simultaneously.

Overall it will take 4 to 6 months to learn properly.

if you focus on certifications only, you can complete it within 3 months.
